Spring 2014 registration begins Oct. 28, but you don’t have to wait until registration opens to see an adviser to talk about your classes. Visit KCC’s Academic Advising Web page at www.kellogg.edu/advising to view advising hours and contact information, and see an adviser before registration opens so you can register as early as possible!

  • KCC’s women’s volleyball team plays their final home match of the season beginning at 6:30 p.m. against conference opponent Ancilla College in the Miller Gym on KCC’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek. Scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013:

  • Trine University of Angola, Ind., will host a Transfer Student Information Table from 9 to 11 a.m. in the central walkway of KCC’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek.
  • New honor society inductees will be honored during the fall semester’s Phi Theta Kappa Induction Ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. at the Binda Theatre on KCC’s North Avenue campus.

Scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013:

  • KCC’s Fall 2013 Education Seminar runs from 3 to 5:45 p.m. in the Binda Theatre on the college’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek. The free event will include information about studying education, door prizes and information from advisers from Miller College and Western Michigan University. Seating is limited; individuals interested in participating in the event should register by emailing education@kellogg.edu.
  • KCC’s women’s volleyball team plays their final match of the season beginning at 6:30 p.m. against conference opponent Grand Rapids Community College in Grand Rapids. For more information about the women’s volleyball team, visit www.kellogg.edu/athletics/volleyball/index.html.

Scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25, 2013:

  • The second Bruins Give Back volunteer event of the semester runs from 9 a.m. to noon at locations around Battle Creek. Click here to view the locations/opportunities to serve or to register to participate.
  • KCC’s women’s basketball team will scrimmage Albion College beginning at 6 p.m. at home in the Miller Gym on KCC’s North Avenue campus. Click here for more information about KCC’s women’s basketball team.
  • The KCC Art League, a student organization, will present the horror movie “Trick ‘r Treat” at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center Auditorium on KCC’s North Avenue campus. The admission fee is a donation of non-perishable food items. All donations of food and money at the event will benefit the Art League’s adopted family and their Thanksgiving and Christmas food drives.

  • KCC will host photographer Christopher Schneberger’s exhibit “Glimmer: The Haunting of the Graham House” through Friday, Nov. 8, in the college’s Eleanor R. and Robert A. DeVries Gallery in the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center on KCC’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek. The exhibit will be free and open to the public for viewing during exhibit hours, which are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

  • Spring 2014 registration opens at 7 a.m. online and at 8 a.m. in person on campus on Monday, Oct. 28.
  • The Financial Aid Office’s fall Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal deadline is Friday, Nov. 1. Contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
  • The nonrefundable $400 deposit for students and community members participating in KCC’s international travel trip to Europe next spring is due to KCC on Friday, Nov. 1. Click here for more information about the trip from a post on this blog.

  • KCC’s men’s and women’s basketball teams begin their 2013-14 season Nov. 1 with play at the Tip-Off Classic basketball tournament at Oakland Community College in Auburn Hills. For more information about athletics at KCC, visit www.kellogg.edu/athletics/index.html.
  • Future college students will have the opportunity to talk with representatives from nearly 70 institutions and organizations during KCC’s annual Calhoun County College Night, scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 at Kellogg Arena, 1 McCamly Square, Battle Creek. The event is free and open to the public.
  • The priority processing deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students applying for financial aid to attend KCC for the Spring 2014 semester is Friday, Nov. 15. By submitting the FAFSA with correct and complete information by this date, students allow for adequate processing time in order to determine financial aid eligibility by the beginning of the spring semester.   • The priority processing deadline (all documents submitted) for students applying for financial aid to attend KCC for the Spring 2014 semester is Friday, Nov. 29.
