KCC to present free Faculty/Guest Artist recital Nov. 24

Kellogg Community College’s Performing Arts Program Area is proud to present the College’s annual Faculty/Guest Artist Recital Series event “If it ain’t Baroque, don’t fix it!” beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held in the auditorium of the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center on KCC’s North Avenue campus, 450 North Ave., Battle Creek. A free-will contribution will be collected to support the KCC choirs’ concert tour of Italy next summer.

During the program, several KCC faculty members and guest musicians will perform selections from the 17th and 18th centuries, including works from J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Henry Purcell, Samuel Scheidt, Georg Philipp Telemann, Antonio Vivaldi and Domenico Zipoli.

Performers will include Bill Bandlow, Carmen Bell, Gerald Blanchard, Nancy Brown, Eric Campbell, Kathy Cary, Sara Cleland, Erin Donnelly, Paula Krontz-Harris, Elle Ingalls, Betty Picard, Austin Shook, Barbara Sudeikis, Victoria Walker, Mark Wells and Ed Zentera, with appearances from the Cereal City Brass Company and the Kellogg Singers.
