The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations has honored Kellogg Community College’s Public Information and Marketing Department with four Medallion Awards for its efforts to recruit students and publicize the College in 2013.
A representative from the department accepted the awards during the NCMPR’s District Three awards dinner early last month in Columbus.
The honors – all of which were Bronze Medallions of Merit – were awarded specifically for KCC’s successful millage renewal campaign; a postcard highlighting new student orientation dates; a poster promoting a Stress Busters event for students; and a computer-generated illustration (pictured above) promoting the College’s Winter Walking Program for employees.
The PIM Department, which provides a variety of marketing services to the College, also won four Medallion Awards in 2012, and includes Kathy Jarvie, publications manager; Rachel Roelof, media design staff assistant; Simon Thalmann, digital marketer/writer; Kristen Stolz, secretary; and Eric Greene, director. The award-winning computer-generated illustration was designed by student worker Brandon Smith.
The NCMPR represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges in the United States and Canada. District Three of NCMPR includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and Ontario.
