Kellogg Community College’s women’s basketball team will host the first ever BCC, KCC Shootout basketball tournament for youth in third through sixth grades in March.
The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 15, and will continue on Sunday, March 16, at KCC’s Miller Gym, 450 North Ave., and at the Battle Creek Central High School Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., in Battle Creek.
Participants will compete by age group – separately as third, fourth, fifth and sixth graders – with boys and girls competing in separate divisions. Each game of pool play will be played five-on-five for two 18-minute halves, with a minimum of four teams per division per age bracket.
Registration is due by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, and forms can be picked up and dropped off at KCC’s Miller Gym. The entry fee for the tournament in $100 per team, with checks made payable to KCC Women’s Basketball, c/o Head Coach Kyle Klingaman.
