Kellogg Community College’s Branch County Community Chorus and special guests from the College’s other residential choirs will present the BCCC’s annual Spring Cabaret @ the Tibbits concert on May 3.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Tibbits Opera House, 14 S. Hanchett St., Coldwater. A freewill offering will be collected to support the choirs’ summer concert tour of Italy.
The evening’s performances will include a wide musical range including solos, duets and small ensemble presentations from members of the BCCC, the Concentus Vocal Ensemble and the KCC Choral Union.
Dr. Gerald Blanchard, artistic director of the KCC choirs and a vocal music professor at the College, called the event “a night on the town with a fantastic variety show: much laughter, great musical entertainment and awesome desserts.”
Spring Cabaret @ the Tibbits is part of a 2013-14 season made possible by the generosity of several sponsors, including Randall Foods, Inc., the choirs’ corporate partner. To donate in support of future choir programming, checks made payable to Kellogg Community College may be dropped off at any campus location. Contributions for the Choral Union’s concert tour of Italy may be made online at www.gofundme.com/4py40c.
