Ashtin Kaminer of LaGrange, Ind., has signed a National Letter of Intent to play women’s basketball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins this season.
Kaminer is a graduate of Lakeland High School, where she played three years of varsity basketball – two as a captain – and was a member of the softball, track and volleyball teams. She earned All-Conference and All-Regional honorable mentions in basketball and led her team in steals her senior year.
Kyle Klingaman, head women’s basketball coach at KCC, said the team is looking forward to Kaminer’s leadership coming in.
“She’s a very good young athlete, a very good student-athlete,” Klingaman said. “Her defense is very sound and she’s a very good team player.”
