Add a music class to your fall schedule

KCC's jazz band plays in the Student Center.

Love music? Add a music course to your fall schedule at Kellogg Community College!

The music curriculum at KCC is designed to create a strong foundation for students planning on transferring to a four-year program or to improve as a performer. The study of particular styles of music over time offers students the opportunity to improve listening skills, appreciate teamwork and to impact emotional states. The study of music also provides students with vocal and instrumental performance experience, as well as appreciation for social and historical musical experiences that connect generations and cultures.

KCC music offerings are vast, including courses in Music Theory, Aural Comprehension, Conducting, Music History, Music Fundamentals, Music Appreciation and Music Education in addition to Voice and Piano classes, Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles and Individualized Music Lessons with our artist faculty (available on all major orchestral instruments, piano and voice).

There are more than three dozen music courses that still have seats available this fall! Visit the Search for Sections area of KRIS to see them all!

At KCC, our music programming is built on the cornerstone of creativity and collaboration. Our students are encouraged to find their best musical selves through artistic exploration. At KCC you will develop the skills necessary to become a successful and well-rounded musician.
