Join KCC for the Battle Creek Polar Plunge on Jan. 17

KCC students participate in the Battle Creek Polar Plunge by jumping into the water of a frozen lake.

Kellogg Community College students and staff will again participate in the Battle Creek Polar Plunge to raise funds for Special Olympics Michigan.

Registration for the event will being at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at H20 restaurant, 315 W. Columbia Ave., Battle Creek, with a parade at 11:45 a.m. and the plunge beginning at noon.

The Battle Creek Polar Plunge is affiliated with the grassroots Law Enforcement Torch Run event, in which law enforcement and corrections officers raise funds for and create awareness of Special Olympics Michigan year round. KCC’s team during the polar plunge often consists of several members of the College’s Police Academy, in addition to other students and staff.
