KCC basketball hosting Summer Basketball Camp for youth

Ben Reed, head men's basketball coach at KCC, leads a basketball camp for kids in the Miller Gym.

Kellogg Community College’s men’s basketball team will host a Summer Basketball Camp for boys and girls in third through eighth grades on four consecutive Sundays beginning July 12.

The camp will run from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Sundays July 12, 19, 26, and Aug. 2, at the Miller Gym on KCC’s campus, 450 North Ave., Battle Creek. While the camp won’t formally begin until 2:30 p.m. each session, campers may be dropped off at the gym as early as 2 p.m.

The KCC Summer Basketball Camp will be led by players from KCC’s men’s basketball team and Head Men’s Basketball Coach Ben Reed. Activities will include instruction in fundamental basketball drills including shooting, dribbling and passing in addition to competitive games and contests.

Camp fees include a camp T-shirt for each participant and are $40 per child for all four Sundays or $15 per individual date. To register, pick up a registration form at the Miller Gym or email Ben Reed, head coach of KCC’s men’s basketball team, at mbbcoach@kellogg.edu.

Registration for each camp session is open until the day of each session.
