Kellogg Community College is partnering with the Battle Creek Community Foundation this month to offer on-campus assistance to Legacy Scholar students who have questions about how to access or utilize their scholarship.
KCC will host a BCCF staff member in the Student Services Hub on the College’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek every Monday and Thursday through Aug. 27 to assist Legacy Scholar students. The campus, where students can also apply to KCC, register for fall classes, receive academic and career advising or assistance with financial aid services, is located at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek.
The Legacy Scholar service is free of charge for Legacy Scholars and will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates:
- Thursday, Aug. 6
- Monday, Aug. 10
- Thursday, Aug. 13
- Monday, Aug. 17
- Thursday, Aug. 20
- Monday, Aug. 24
- Thursday, Aug. 27
Legacy Scholars, a program created in 2005 by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, provides a last-dollar KCC scholarship for anyone who graduates from Battle Creek Public Schools, Lakeview School District or Calhoun Community High School. High school students are eligible for Legacy Scholars funding for up to five years following high school graduation. The Legacy Scholar scholarships cover tuition, fees and books.
