Kellogg Community College’s Admissions Office is hosting Dual Enrollment Orientations for students interested in taking courses at KCC while still in high school.
Dual Enrollment Orientations will be held in the Kellogg Room on KCC’s campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Aug. 25
- Thursday, Sept. 3
Orientation attendees will get a campus tour; important information on topics including snow days, classroom realities, financial information and other details; and information about the application process for those who have yet to enroll.
Meredith Stravers, director of Admissions at KCC, said the orientations will provide students and guests with the necessary tools and resources to equip dual enrollees for success at KCC and are valuable events to attend for high school students, parents/guardians and guidance counselors alike.
“We find that the students who attend orientation prior to starting their classes here at KCC tend to have an easier time and make easier transitions from high school than those who arrive here not knowing what to expect,” Stravers said. “These sessions are both for students who are registered for dual enrolled courses and for those who are considering dual enrollment in the future, all of whom – along with their parents or legal guardians – are strongly encouraged to attend.”
Registration for the Dual Enrollment Orientations is encouraged, but not required, and may be completed online at www.kellogg.edu/high-school-dual-enrollment. More information about dual enrollment opportunities at KCC is available online through the link or by contacting KCC’s Admissions Office at 269-965-4153 or adm@kellogg.edu.
