The Kellogg Community College Board of Trustees will review proposals from executive search firms during a special public meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. The meeting will be in the Kellogg Room of the Student Center, 450 North Ave., Battle Creek.

KCC trustees are in the process of reviewing proposals from three firms for the purpose of selecting one to assist the College in identifying candidates to become KCC’s next president. KCC employees and members of the public are invited to attend the meeting to ask questions and hear directly from the search firms.

Three firms — the Association of Community College Trustees, Greenwood/Asher and Associates and the Pauly Group — submitted proposals by the July 10 deadline. The firms’ proposals and other related documents can be reviewed at Kellogg.edu/presidentsearch.

The KCC Board of Trustees is engaged in a presidential search because former president Dr. Dennis Bona retired in June and accepted a college presidency in Minnesota. Mark O’Connell, KCC’s former vice president of Administration and Finance, is serving as the College’s interim president until a permanent president is named.
