Kellogg Community College is highlighting art produced by more than 30 members of the Battle Creek Society of Artists this month in a special BCSA art exhibition on display in the College’s newly renovated art gallery.
The BCSA exhibit is on display now and will run through March 31 in the Eleanor R. and Robert A. DeVries Gallery in KCC’s Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center, on campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular gallery hours, which are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Art featured in the exhibit covers subjects ranging from nature and landscapes to portraiture and abstract art, expressed through mediums including acrylic, collage, mixed media, oil, pastel, black and white and color photography, and watercolor. Many of the pieces featured in the exhibit are for sale.
The BCSA is a nonprofit founded in 1979 by artists for artists, offering inspiration and encouragement for beginner, intermediate and advanced artists working in all mediums. BCSA meetings, which often include guest artist discussions and demonstrations, are held at 1 p.m. on the last Friday of each month from September through May in room 104 of KCC’s Davidson Center and are open to the public as well as to BCSA members.
