The deadline for graduating Kellogg Community College students to apply for a transfer scholarship from the KCC Foundation is 5 p.m. Friday, March 18.
The Foundation offers three named scholarship opportunities for graduating KCC students each year, all of which recognize outstanding academic and personal achievement by KCC students graduating this spring. Transfer scholarships include:
- The Walter and Lucille Harper Transfer Scholarship for Kellogg Community College Graduates, which is awarded to graduating KCC students with a demonstrated financial need who are transferring to a baccalaureate degree granting institution of higher learning. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for coursework completed at KCC.
- The Virginia M. Hensley Education or Health Care Two-Year Transfer Scholarship for the Highest-Achieving Kellogg Community College Graduates, which is awarded to graduating KCC students who are transferring to one of the following universities in Michigan, which offer baccalaureate degrees in education or health care: Central Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Ferris State University, Grand Valley State University, Lake Superior State University, Michigan State University, Michigan Technological University, Northern Michigan University, Oakland University, University of Michigan, Wayne State University or Western Michigan University. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for coursework completed at KCC.
- The Robert F. Hites Transfer Scholarship for the Highest-Achieving Kellogg Community College Graduates, which is awarded to graduating KCC students with a demonstrated financial need who are transferring to a baccalaureate degree granting institution of higher learning. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for coursework completed at KCC.
