Kellogg Community College is observing National Reading Month this month by collecting new and gently used K-12 level books to redistribute to community members and organizations that need them.

Individuals interested in donating books can drop them off in KCC’s Read n’ Give donation box at the entrance to the College’s Morris Learning Resource Center, which houses the KCC library on campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek.

Donations will be accepted through Thursday, March 24, and will be redistributed to area students, families and local nonprofit book nooks.

The book collection is just one of several community initiatives facilitated through KCC each year. The College’s Bruin Bookstore is collecting eyeglasses on campus for donation this month, and will collect used shoes for donation and recycling during an annual Sneaker Collection in April.
