Erin Aerts, of Mattawan, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins this season.
Aerts was a three-sport athlete at Mattawan High School, where she graduated magna cum laude with a 3.9 GPA this spring.
Tom VanWienen, head coach of KCC’s women’s volleyball team, said Aerts is “a good leader and a team player.”
“Erin is a very fundamental player on the floor in every position, and will help strengthen our overall team play,” VanWienen said.
KCC’s volleyball seasons begins in August. The team’s first official games of the season will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Mott Community College in Flint.
