Kellogg Community College invites all members of the public to attend an open house from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the College’s Eastern Academic Center, 14055 26-Mile Road, Albion.
Representatives from KCC will be available during the open house to answer community members’ and future students’ questions about courses offered at the EAC as well as scholarship opportunities, dual-enrollment, early college programs, financial aid, academic advising, registration and other student services. The open house will include light refreshments, KCC souvenirs and prize drawings.
Anyone who attends Oct. 20 is welcome to tour the EAC, which is designed to offer a variety of college courses to residents of eastern Calhoun County in a convenient, affordable location. The EAC opened in 2001 and was expanded in 2014. The 19,679-square-foot facility consists of 11 classrooms, seminar room, testing room, computer lab and student lounge.
“Even though we’ve been in operation for 15 years, we realize some people in eastern Calhoun County aren’t fully aware of what we offer right here in Albion,” said EAC Manager Shari Deevers. “At the open house, we hope to make connections with future students and potential community partners as we look ahead to the next 15 years.”
Handouts at the open house will include a list of all KCC courses that will be offered at the EAC in the Spring 2017 semester, which begins Jan. 13. Registration for those courses opens on Oct. 24.
