Michigan Job Challenge students train for work in KCC’s KAMA program

KAMA manufacturing students work during training at the RMTC.

See photos of some of the 24 Michigan Job Challenge students who started the Kellogg Community College Advanced Manufacturing Assembly (KAMA) Training program at KCC’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center (RMTC) this summer in the photo gallery embedded below or view the gallery on KCC’s Facebook page.

These students are recent graduates of the Michigan Youth Challenge Academy and were working on the hands-on portion of the manufacturing program in advance of starting their foundational skills classes in math, computers, writing, professionalism, OSHA 10, lockout/tagout, and lifting and tool safety.

Students then enrolled in one of the skilled trades programs offered at the RMTC and began those classes in September. Once they complete training in December, career coaches will assist them in finding employment related to their training.
