Help wanted: KCC hiring student Marketing Intern for the fall semester

Interested in marketing? Employees in Kellogg Community College’s Public Information and Marketing Department (pictured above) are looking for a student Marketing Intern to assist department staff with various tasks through the fall semester.

The Marketing Intern in KCC’s Public Information and Marketing Department will help the College promote the institution to a variety of audiences, including students, employees, media and the public at large. Specifically, the intern will assist PIM staff in developing content for the KCC website; creating written communications for use on multiple platforms; publicizing campus events; monitoring media coverage; and completing other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, curious, organized, deadline-oriented and meticulous about accuracy.

Skills a successful candidate must demonstrate include:

  • Strength in writing and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge in publishing online content, including social media
  • A history of meeting deadlines
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks at once

The position — which is open to KCC students registered for at least six credit hours during the fall semester — pays $10 an hour.
