Kellogg Community College’s women’s volleyball team fell to conference opponent Muskegon Community College in four sets Thursday at home in Battle Creek.
The Jayhawks took set two 25-21, set three 25-21 and set four 25-15; the Bruins took set one 25-19.
“Just didn’t have it this evening,” Head KCC Coach Tom VanWienen said. “We lacked the energy needed to beat a top level team like Muskegon. We will regroup and prepare for next week.”
The loss brings the Bruins’ record for the season so far to 8-3 and their conference record to 4-3.
The Bruins’ next home match starts at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at home at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek, against conference opponent Ancilla College.
