KCC women’s basketball falls 74-33 to Schoolcraft College

Kellogg Community College’s women’s basketball team lost it’s latest away game 74-33 Wednesday against Schoolcraft College in Livonia.

Leading the Bruins on the court were Dareka Clayton (Battle Creek/Battle Creek Central) who had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks, and Sarah Gwinn (Jackson/Northwest) who had 8 points and 11 rebounds.

“Once again we struggled on the offensive end,” Head KCC Coach Dic Doumanian said. “In the second half that started to affect things for us at the defensive end.”

The team plays next at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, against Hope College’s junior varsity team in Holland. Their next home game is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, against the junior varsity squad from Calvin College at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek.
