Kellogg Community College’s women’s basketball team lost its latest home game 90-46 Wednesday against Muskegon Community College.
Leading the Bruins on the court were Dareka Clayton (Battle Creek/Battle Creek Central), who had 13 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists, and Destiny Kincaide (Chicago, IL/Hyde Park Academy), who had 24 points and 6 rebounds.
“We had our moments and several nice runs to cut into their lead,” Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said. “We just did not have enough runs and could not sustain them long enough before MCC pulled away in the fourth quarter.”
The team plays next at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, against conference opponent Mid-Michigan Community College in Mount Pleasant. The Bruins’ next home game starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, against conference opponent Jackson College at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek.
