Nineteen-year-old Breanna Lawless says she decided to pursue a career in dental hygiene because she loves helping people and making them feel good.

“In dental hygiene, people are always smiling when they leave your chair,” Lawless says.

A 2016 Jonesville High School grad and KCC Foundation Gold Key Scholar, Lawless is currently in her second semester as a student in Kellogg Community College’s Dental Hygiene Program.

“I chose to attend KCC’s program because I know several hygienists who graduated from here and absolutely loved the faculty and the program,” she says.

After graduating from KCC, Lawless plans to continue her education and pursue a bachelor’s degree, possibly even attending dental school.
