KCC women’s basketball falls 68-49 to Mott Community College

KCC's 2018-19 women's basketball team

Kellogg Community College’s women’s basketball team lost its latest home game 68-49 against Mott Community College on Saturday.

Leading the Bruins on the court were sophomore Destiny Kincaide, who had 8 points and 4 assists; freshman Brittany Morris, who had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals; and freshman Lilly Howard, who had 8 points and 9 rebounds.

“Our overall best effort against a very good team,” said Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian. “Other than a five-minute stretch to start the second half, we played with a lot of heart and enthusiasm, but you can’t have a lull like that against a one-loss team.”

The loss brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 1-5.

The Bruins’ next home game starts at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, against St. Clair County Community College in the Miller Gym.

All home games at KCC are free to attend.
