How to sign up for text and email alerts to find out when classes are canceled

A student walks through a snowy KCC parking lot.

It’s the season for icy roads here in Michigan, and students often wonder — especially first thing in the morning — are classes canceled today? How do I find out?

In the event that classes are delayed or canceled altogether, KCC will notify all the major local news providers, including television stations like WMMT Newschannel 3 and WOOD TV8. KCC will also post an alert on the KCC homepage at www.kellogg.edu, along with alerts on this blog, our Facebook page and our Twitter feed.

But the best way to find out if classes are delayed or canceled is to sign up for text and email alerts, so you’ll be notified directly. To do so, click here to create a KCC Omnilert account.

For more information, visit KCC’s Operating statues web page at www.kellogg.edu/operating-status or see our previous blog post, “‘Is KCC closed?’ How we decide to cancel classes due to weather.”
