KCC women’s basketball falls 79-48 to Mid-Michigan Community College

The Kellogg Community College women’s basketball team lost its latest home game 79-48 against conference opponent Mid-Michigan Community College on Wednesday in the Miller Gym.

Leading the Bruins on the court was sophomore Destiny Kincaide, who had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

“We just never got going tonight as three games in five days might have caught up with us,” Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said. “Monday is our final home game of the season and is Sophomore Night as we’ll honor Destiny Kincaide, DeeDee Post and Kameron Haley immediately following our game. Hope you can make it!”

The recent loss brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 6-19; the team’s conference record to 3-12.

The team plays next starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, against conference opponent Jackson College in Jackson. The Bruins’ last home game of the season starts at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, against conference opponent Grand Rapids Community College in the Miller Gym.
