KCC men’s basketball falls 101-71 to Jackson College

The Kellogg Community College men’s basketball team lost its latest away game 101-71 to conference opponent Jackson College on Saturday in Jackson.

Leading the Bruins on the court were sophomore Tishaun Cooper, who had 27 points and freshman Dom Gibson, who had 13 points.

“The KCC men fought hard in Jackson but were defeated by a hot shooting Jackson team,” Head Men’s Basketball Coach Gary Sprague said. “The loss puts the Bruins one game behind Muskegon and KVCC for the final playoff spot. The Bruins must win at least on of there next games to have a chance to make the playoffs.”

The recent loss brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 11-14; the team’s conference record to 6-10.

The team plays next starting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, against conference opponent Grand Rapids Community College in the Miller Gym. The Bruins’ last conference game starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, against Lansing Community College in Lansing.
