Haidyn Markos, of Battle Creek, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins next season.
Markos, a senior at Lakeview High School, played three years of varsity volleyball for the Spartans, in addition to four years of varsity softball and two years of basketball. The National Honors Society student and DECA participant was also a member of the Battle Creek Enquirer’s 2018 All-City Volleyball Team.
Tom VanWienen, head coach of KCC’s women’s volleyball team, called Markos a strong player who will have a first-year impact as a defensive specialist for the Bruins.
“Haidyn will bring a strong defensive sense to our back row next year,” VanWienen said.
