Kellogg Community College’s graduating Nursing Program students will showcase their senior projects and have the opportunity to explore future career and educational opportunities at the College’s 5th Annual Nursing Capstone & Networking Event this month on campus in Battle Creek.

The event is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the Binda Performing Arts Center and Kellogg Room on campus at 450 North Ave.

In addition to giving graduating Nursing students a chance to showcase their senior research projects, the Nursing Capstone & Networking Event gives students and the general public an opportunity to network with more than 30 clinical and educational partners and local businesses hiring in the health care field. Representatives from four-year universities will also be onsite with information about transfer programs.

This year’s event will also include a keynote address titled “Are You Ready to Live Pressure Free?” delivered by stress and performance coach Elle Ingalls, of Battle Creek, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Binda Performing Arts Center. Vendors and student projects will be available beginning at 10 a.m.

Also, for the first time, KCC’s Dental Hygiene students, alumni and dental clinics and offices hiring registered dental hygienists will be included in the event.

Anyone interested in the health care field, including recruiters looking for new employees, is encouraged to attend.
