Ryan Flikkema, of Hastings, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play men’s basketball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins next season.
Flikkema, a 2019 graduate of Hastings High School, was on the honor roll for all four years and also played soccer at Hastings, making captain his sophomore year.
KCC’s Head Men’s Basketball Coach Gary Sprague said Flikkema’s 6 feet and 7 inches of height will be “a big step up” for Bruins basketball next season.
“We were always at a bit of a size disadvantage last season,” Sprague said. “Ryan will provide the inside scoring and rebounding strength that was sorely missed.”
