Youth ages 8 to 14 can take their first steps into the world of mobile app design and customize their own gaming app in Kellogg Community College’s App Attack! day camp in July.

The App Attack! camp will run from 8:15 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday, July 8 through 11, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek. The camp fee is $135.

Using a specialized app and game development tool, App Attack! campers will explore the world of web-based (HTML5) mobile apps. In addition to learning the basics of mobile app design and game development, they’ll also see firsthand how the world of app publishing functions.

No prior experience is required to attend the camp, but campers who’ve attended past sessions will have the opportunity to create more advanced projects that build on instruction from previous camps.
