Youth Cross Country Camp is Aug. 5-8 at KCC

KCC cross-country runners run around Spring Lake.

Kellogg Community College is holding a Cross Country Camp in August for young runners looking to get back in shape or improve before the fall cross country season.

The camp is for youth ages 9 through 14 and will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Aug. 5 through 8, at the Miller Physical Education Building on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek.

The camp will be led by KCC’s Head Cross Country Coach Erin Lane and members of the College’s new men’s and women’s cross country teams, both of which were regional champions in their inaugural seasons last fall. Topics covered will include dynamic stretching, core work and running form.
