The Kellogg Community College women’s basketball team lost at its latest home game 78-46 against conference opponent Muskegon Community College on Wednesday.
Leading the Bruins were freshmen Lexi Parsons and Audrey DeWaters, who each had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
“KCC ran into a buzzsaw last night as everything went Muskegon’s way,” Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said. “Hopefully it is just a one-time thing for us as we’ve been playing really well and fully expect to get back to that for our next contest versus Jackson College. Go Lady Bruins!”
The recent loss brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 10-7; the team’s conference record is 4-2.
The team plays next starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at home against Jackson College at the Miller Gym on campus in Battle Creek. Admission to all home KCC athletics events is free.
