The Kellogg Community College women’s basketball team won it’s latest home game against Lansing Community College 59-54 on Saturday.
Leading for the Bruins were freshman Audrey DeWaters, with 14 points and 9 rebounds; Sophomore Jess Genier, who had 11 points and 10 rebounds; freshman Kalista Hubbart, who had 10 ponits and 4 steals; and freshman Gabby Costello, who had 6 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
“This was a great bounce back for us after losing a couple of tough games.” Said Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian. “We got back to playing Lady Bruin Basketball and the team deserves all the credit for that! We are at KVCC on Wednesday then back home at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 versus Glen Oaks. Go Lady Bruins!”
The recent win brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 12-9; the team’s conference record is 6-4.
The team’s next match is away in Kalamazoo against Kalamazoo Valley Community College. The game will start at 5:30 p.m Wednesday, Feb. 5.
