Kellogg Community College is offering students a chance to learn about African American history during a free Black History Month trip to the Grand Rapids African American Museum and Archives this Friday.
KCC Financial Aid Director Nicole Cook said Student Life and Student Services staff will accompany up to 45 students, employees and faculty members to the museum to view exhibits and watch a short film on African American culture.
The trip is completely free for KCC students, with transportation and lunch provided. The bus will leave at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, from the flagpole area at the front of KCC’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek and will return by 5 p.m.
Students interested in going on the trip should contact Student Life ASAP in the Student Life office in the Hub area on campus or by calling 269-565-2634. Space is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis.
