Kellogg Community College announced today it intends to reopen its campuses to employees on June 15 and to students and the public on June 29.
KCC buildings and facilities have been closed since mid-March in order to comply with government guidance and prevent gatherings of people during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Despite the facility closure, KCC faculty continue to teach a wide variety of courses and personnel continue to deliver many services remotely. The College encourages current and prospective students to prepare for registering for Fall 2020 classes.
Prospective students may complete an admissions application and sign up for placement testing online anytime. Registration for Fall 2020 classes opens June 15.
The College formally closed its physical campuses in Barry, Branch and Calhoun counties as of noon March 18 and most recently announced it would partially reopen June 1 in alignment with the State of Michigan’s stay-at-home executive order. Last week, the state announced another two-week extension of restrictions on places of public accommodation, which includes college campuses.
Although campuses remain closed, KCC continues to make remote services available to students via online platforms and telephone appointments. All students, including prospective students, may submit specific questions regarding services – financial aid, online tutoring, testing and more – via KCC’s Virtual Services web page at www.kellogg.edu/virtualservices.
While the campuses are closed, access to buildings is limited to essential personnel who are specifically identified to conduct minimum basic operations in accordance with State of Michigan executive orders.
