Kellogg Community College is hosting a pair of virtual career fairs with local health care systems next week to recruit essential workers in the fields of nursing, medical assistant, certified nursing assistant and emergency medical services.
Separate virtual events will be held via Zoom with representatives from Sparrow Health System and Bronson Healthcare, respectively, for participants to learn about career opportunities, meet with recruiters and learn how to manage the application process. There will also be opportunities for participants to interact, ask questions and develop professional connections.
Patrick Casey, director of Career and Employment Services at KCC, said the event is designed to serve current KCC students and alumni, but all are invited.
“The hospitals’ number one priority is those who are job-ready, including December graduates and past graduates,” Casey said. “But those who will be graduating in May or beyond can still participate and start the networking process.”
The virtual career fair with Sparrow Health System will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, and will focus on careers in nursing, medical assistant and emergency medical services.
The virtual career fair with Bronson Healthcare will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, and will focus on careers in nursing, medical assistant and certified nursing assistant (CNA).
To register for one or both events, contact Patrick Casey at caseyp@kellogg.edu or 269-565-2636 and indicate which session(s) you would like to attend and which area of focus you’re interested in.
