Rasheed Dyson, of Chicago, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for Kellogg Community College and will begin competing for the Bruins this fall as part of the College’s men’s basketball team.
Dyson is a 2020 graduate of Evergreen Park Community High School, where he earned high school honors including Most Valuable Player and a Chicago Tribune Daily Southtown All-Area Team Honorable Mention.
Head KCC Basketball Coach Gary Sprague said Dyson will be “an immediate impact player” for KCC.
“His speed, strength and intensity are exceptional. He is a fierce defender and relentless rebounder,” Sprague said. “Rasheed will increase the competitive drive of the entire team.”
KCC’s men’s basketball team opted out of the 2020-21 season due to COVID-19. The team finished the 2019-20 season fourth place in the conference, making it to the second round of postseason play.
