The Kellogg Community College Foundation is pleased to announce 10 recipients of the 2021 Walter and Lucille Harper Transfer Scholarship.
The scholarship, which awards $2,500 to each recipient, recognizes outstanding academic and personal achievement and is awarded to graduating KCC students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher who are transferring to a publicly funded baccalaureate degree granting institution.
The KCC Foundation’s 2021 Walter and Lucille Harper Transfer Scholarship recipients include:
- Ellie Aldrich, of Battle Creek, a 2019 Harper Creek High School graduate. Aldrich will graduate from KCC this summer with an Associate in Arts degree and plans to study Art Education at Western Michigan University.
- McKayla Byrd, of Battle Creek, a 2018 Harper Creek High School graduate. Byrd graduated from KCC with a Human Services Technician Certificate and an Associate in Applied Science degree in Human Services in May and plans to study Social Work at Western Michigan University.
- Emily Davidson, of Battle Creek, a 2019 Lakeview High School graduate. Davidson will graduate from KCC with an Associate in General Studies degree this summer and plans to study Veterinary Science after transferring in Spring 2022.
- Jacob Janofski, of Marshall, a 2018 St. Philip Catholic Central High School graduate. Janofski graduated from KCC with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Nursing in May and plans to study Nursing at Western Michigan University.
- Andrew Maurer, of Delton, a 2019 Hastings High School graduate. Maurer graduated from KCC with an Associate in Applied Science in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology in May and plans to study Product Design Engineering at Ferris State University.
- Adison Miller, of Reading, a 2019 Quincy High School graduate. Miller will graduate from KCC this summer with an Associate in Agricultural Science degree and plans to study Agribusiness Management at Michigan State University.
- Payton Molnar, of Coldwater, a 2019 Coldwater High School graduate. Molnar graduated with an Associate in General Studies degree in May and plans to study Psychology at Western Michigan University.
- Isabella Proulx, of Battle Creek, a 2021 home school graduate. Proulx graduated with an Associate in Liberal Arts degree in May and plans to study English and Literature at Western Michigan University.
- Heather Rose, of Battle Creek, a 2005 Pennfield High School graduate. Rose graduated with an Associate in General Studies degree in May and plans to study Elementary Education at Western Michigan University.
- Sarah Smith, of Nashville, a 2019 Olivet High School graduate. Smith graduated with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Elementary Education in May and plans to study Elementary Education at Western Michigan University.
