The first classes of Kellogg Community College’s Fall 2021 semester begin Monday, Aug. 30.

After more than a year of instruction offered primarily via an online format, KCC is starting this semester with a higher number of in-person classes, as well as the return of on-campus events, including theatre productions and onsite athletics competitions.

As the fall semester begins, students, employees and guests are required to wear face masks in all classrooms and indoor spaces until further notice. Students should monitor kellogg.edu/coronavirus and their KCC email accounts throughout the semester for updated information about KCC’s pandemic-related practices.

Registration is available through the start date of most fall classes, though seats in each course are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Students interested in securing a seat in a specific class are encouraged to register as soon as possible to reserve their space.

Registration information, including links to instructions, policies, tuition and fees and other information, is available at kellogg.edu/registration. Specific courses offered at KCC during the fall semester can be viewed by visiting kellogg.edu, clicking on “Class Schedules” at the top of the page and filtering results by semester.

New to KCC this fall are two Physical Education associate degree programs, including degrees in Exercise Science and Sports Management, which can be viewed on the KCC website at kellogg.edu/pe.

The College also continues accepting students attending as part of the state’s Futures for Frontliners and Michigan Reconnect scholarship programs, which offer eligible Michigan residents free tuition to pursue a degree or certificate at their local community college. Applications for the Michigan Reconnect program are still open; interested individuals should visit kellogg.edu/reconnect for details.

Students new to KCC must fill out an application and verify residency before signing up for classes. Admissions applications can be completed for free online at kellogg.edu/apply.

The fall semester runs through Dec. 17.
