A game of Handstand Hangman will be played from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, in the Student Center to prepare students for the Higher Learning Commission’s visit on Oct. 18 and 19.
“Handstand Hangman” is the more unique version of the traditional guess-the-letter to fill in the blank hangman game. The stick figure that will be drawn will be doing a handstand.
There will be a box of prizes ranging from shirts and foam claws to charge cords and water bottles!
This game of Handstand Hangman will have three separate categories of words and phrases related to HLC and accreditation:
- What does accreditation affect?
- The Mission Statement
- The Bruin Standard
The purpose of the HLC visit is to review Kellogg Community College and make sure that it is a quality institution. HLC is the committee that gives KCC its accreditation, and this game will inform the students about the process, KCC’s mission statement, the Bruin Standard and the importance of accreditation.
Be sure to stop by and play some Handstand Hangman!
