Kellogg Community College students and employees are invited to participate in the College’s eighth annual Chili Cook-off to benefit the United Way this month on campus in Battle Creek.

The Chili Cook-off will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, in the Binda Performing Arts Center lobby on campus at 450 North Ave. The event will include five different chili recipes prepared by KCC employees. Patrons can sample all recipes for just $5.

All money raised during the event will go to the United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region to support the organization’s current fundraising campaign.

KCC employees have participated in the United Way campaign on an organizational level for approximately three decades, and the College’s annual Chili Cook-off is one of several fundraising initiatives KCC employees participate in to benefit the United Way each year.

Campaign co-chair Dic Doumanian said, “We are excited to have it back! It’s a great cost and a good time.”
