Six student athletes win postseason athletic awards for Fall 2021 sports season

Six Kellogg Community College student athletes have won postseason awards from the Michigan Community College Athletic Association or National Junior College Athletic Association for their performance during the Fall 2021 athletics season.

KCC’s fall sports award winners include:

  • Women’s cross country freshman Jena Adams, of Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School, NJCAA Region XII Division III All-Region Team
  • Women’s soccer freshman Allison Biergeder, of Battle Creek/Pennfield High School, Second Team All-MCCAA, MCCAA Women’s Soccer All-Freshman Team
  • Women’s soccer freshman Natalia Egnatuk, of Marshall/Marshall High School, Honorable Mention All-MCCAA
  • Women’s volleyball sophomore Grace Hall, of Battle Creek/Pennfield High School, Second Team All-Western Conference
  • Women’s volleyball freshman Abby Herman, of Coldwater/Coldwater High School, Honorable Mention All-Western Conference
  • Women’s soccer freshman Chloe Leugers, of Marshall/Marshall High School, Honorable Mention All-MCCAA

KCC’s Fall 2021 athletics season kicked off in August with men’s and women’s cross country, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball teams, which wrapped up competitions in October. KCC’s men’s and women’s basketball seasons opened this month with home games on Nov. 5, and men’s and women’s bowling and baseball teams will begin competition in the new year.

Kellogg Community College is part of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association’s Western Conference and is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Region 12. KCC athletes are known as Bruins, the mascot’s name is Blaze and the College’s school colors are blue and silver.
