Individuals interested in pursuing an industrial trades career will have a chance to complete the enrollment steps needed to start classes during an Express Enrollment Event this month at the College’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center.
The RMTC Express Enrollment Event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the center, located at 405 Hill Brady Road in Battle Creek. The event will offer students everything they need to start a training program in the industrial trades as early as this month, including financial aid assistance, orientation, academic advising and onsite registration.
Express Enrollment Event attendees will also have opportunities to win gift cards and free KCC items including T-shirts and book bags.
Individuals who are new to the College and interested in attending the event to take advantage of the fast-track services offered should bring the following information with them:
- A photo ID
- Transcripts from high school and all colleges attended
- ACT, PSAT or SAT scores (which can be used in place of KCC’s placement test if less than five years old)
The RMTC is KCC’s campus for industrial trades and workforce training students. Located in the Fort Custer Industrial Park in Battle Creek, the facility is built like a true industrial facility, with hundreds of working machines, technical tools and equipment in dozens of training labs to offer students and trainees hands-on, real-world experience in their chosen career field.
The facility also includes many of the amenities available on other KCC campuses, including classrooms, computer labs, a student resource center and a break room.
