KCC stands with MSU after deadly shooting

The Kellogg Community College family is heartbroken today after the mass shooting incident at Michigan State University that occurred late last night in East Lansing.

At KCC, we stand in solidarity with the Spartan community in mourning the lives lost and in praying for those who are injured and fighting for their lives after the shooting.

KCC has numerous ties to MSU through individual family connections, alumni, formal partnerships and transfer agreements. MSU, whose main campus is but 55 miles from ours, is a trusted partner and one of the top destinations for KCC Bruins who leave KCC to earn higher degrees.

While we grieve, we also call on policymakers at all levels to redouble their efforts to ensure that college campuses across the country are places of refuge and learning and not senseless bloodshed.

For any KCC students or employees who may need resources at this time, please check KCC email and refer to internal announcements for details.
