Kellogg Community College will be hosting a one-stop-shop event at the College’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center (RMTC) campus in Battle Creek March 1, when current and future students can complete the steps to sign up for Industrial Trades training.
KCC’s RMTC Express Enrollment Event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the center, located at 405 Hill Brady Road in Battle Creek. The event will offer students everything they need to start a training program in the industrial trades as early as this month, including financial aid assistance, advising, a tour of the campus and onsite registration.
The RMTC is KCC’s campus for Industrial Trades and workforce training students. Located in the Fort Custer Industrial Park in Battle Creek, the facility is a true industrial facility with hundreds of working machines, technical tools and equipment in dozens of training labs to offer students and trainees hands-on, real-world experience in their chosen career field.
The facility also includes many of the amenities available on other KCC campuses, including classrooms, computer labs, a student resource center and a break room. RMTC students can also register for training modules onsite.
KCC Director of Admissions Jenni Kotowski said the upcoming Express Enrollment event is the perfect way for students interested in trades to complete the admissions process in one place. By attending the event, students can receive hands-on guidance through each step of the enrollment process with the goal of leaving Express Enrollment as a registered student.
Individuals who are new to the College and interested in attending the event to take advantage of the fast-track services offered should bring the following information with them:
- A photo ID
- Transcripts from high school and all colleges attended
- ACT, PSAT or SAT scores (which can be used in place of KCC’s placement test if less than five years old)
- Individuals interested in financial aid assistance should bring their 2021 federal tax information

Industrial Trades students at KCC can enroll at any time during the semester and start training in as little as a day from first applying to the College.
