Kellogg Community College was honored to host an event with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on March 7 at the Regional Manufacturing Technology Center.
During her remarks, Whitmer discussed several proposals that would benefit KCC students, including an increase in operational funding for community colleges across Michigan, an expansion of the Michigan Reconnect program, funding for renovations of community college facilities and a stronger focus on workforce development and training.
Whitmer also talked about the importance of KCC’s role in preparing local students for careers at the future BlueOval Battery Park in Marshall.
Approximately 40 guests attended the event, including representatives of local government and schools.
