The application deadline for Kellogg Community College’s Advanced Placement Part-Time Nursing Program has been extended to Friday, April 14.

KCC’s Advanced Placement Part-Time Nursing Program is designed for students who have a current Michigan LPN and who are seeking to complete Level II coursework to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing. Graduates of the program will be eligible for the NR-NCLEX.

The Advanced Placement Part-Time Nursing Program at KCC designed for students with busy personal or professional schedules. KCC’s Nursing Program is the only local associate degree Nursing Program to offer a part-time program option in addition to the traditional full-time program.

Students in the program will begin classes in August 2023 and continue for five semesters (two fall and spring semesters and one summer semester). Application materials and detailed information about applying to the Advanced Placement Part-Time Nursing Program are available on the KCC website at kellogg.edu/nursing-admissions.

Accreditation and Admissions

The KCC Nursing Program is approved and authorized by the Michigan Board of Nursing, and the College’s Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Program is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. (For more information about the ACEN, contact the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing at 3390 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30326, or at 404-975-5000 or visit acenursing.org.)

These accreditations let students and future employers know that KCC’s program meets the most rigorous and highest national standards of nursing education, and provide graduates with further employment, educational and scholarship opportunities only available to students from nationally accredited nursing programs.

Admission to KCC’s Nursing programs is selective due to space limitations, enrollment limitations imposed by regulatory bodies and program admission requirements, and a limited number of applicants are accepted to the programs each year. Applicants seeking admission into KCC’s health programs must first fill out a general KCC application and complete the required courses for each program before submitting a program-specific application.

For more information, contact KCC’s Selective Admissions Office at seladm@kellogg.edu or 269-565-2625.
