Summer registration is open now at Kellogg Community College; the first summer classes start May 15

A young man smiles on a text slide that reads, "Experience college. Experience KCC. Register for summer classes! Classes start May 15. kellogg.edu/experience."

Registration for Kellogg Community College classes offered during the upcoming Summer 2023 semester is open now and can be completed online via the KCC website or in person at any of the College’s five campus locations.

KCC is offering nearly 300 classes this summer semester, the first of which start May 15. The semester runs through Aug. 3.

Student registration information, including links to registration instructions, policies, tuition and fees and other information, is available at kellogg.edu/registration.

Specific courses offered at KCC during the summer semester can be viewed by visiting kellogg.edu, clicking on “Class Schedules” at the top of the page and filtering results by semester.

Students are encouraged to sign up for classes as early as possible after registration opens because space is limited and many classes fill up by the start of the semester.

Popular opportunities for students considering summer classes at KCC include online learning, taking classes tuition-free via the Michigan Reconnect program, and attending KCC as a guest student. More information about these opportunities is available by contacting KCC’s Admissions Office at adm@kellogg.edu or 269-965-4153.

Online Learning

KCC is offering more than 100 fully online classes his summer. The College also offers six associate degree programs that can be completed almost entirely online, including the following:

  • Associate in Arts
  • Associate in Applied Science in Accounting
  • Associate in Applied Science in Administrative Assistant
  • Associate in Applied Science in Business Management
  • Associate in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education
  • Associate in Applied Science in Human Services

Students interesting in entering these online degree programs should contact KCC’s Admissions Office or visit kellogg.edu/online for more information.

Michigan Reconnect

Michigan residents age 25 and older who don’t yet have a college degree could be eligible for free in-district tuition to complete a degree or certificate program at KCC through the state’s Michigan Reconnect program.

Interested individuals should visit kellogg.edu/reconnect or contact the KCC Financial Aid Office at 269-965-4123 or finaid@kellogg.edu to see if they qualify.

Guest Students

Guest students at KCC are students who are enrolled at another college or university and would like to be enrolled at KCC at the same time. Students enroll as guest students for a number of reasons, including:

  • To save money by taking a less expensive course at KCC and transferring the credits to their college or university
  • To save time by taking summer classes at KCC while home on break from their out-of-town college or university
  • To continue their education while on a break or away from their college or university due to personal or professional reasons

For more information about guest students, visit kellogg.edu/guest.

Students new to KCC, including guest students must fill out an application and verify their address before signing up for classes. Admissions applications can be completed online at kellogg.edu/apply.

Those who wish to meet with an academic advisor prior to registering are encouraged to schedule an appointment via the instructions online at kellogg.edu/advising or by calling 269-965-4124.
