Music Programming at KCC

In addition to musical productions such as those listed above, KCC offers several opportunities for community members to participate in music-making at the College via for-credit classes or non-credit personal enrichment. Opportunities include membership in the following ensembles:

  • The Branch County Community Chorus, with Director Dr. Gerald Case-Blanchard
  • The KCC Concert Band, with Director Christopher Momcilovich
  • The KCC Jazz Band, with Director Eric Campbell
  • The Kellogg Singers, with Director Dr. Gerald Case-Blanchard
  • The KCC Opera/Musical Theatre Workshop Ensemble with Director Dr. Gerald Case-Blanchard

KCC also offers a variety of music lessons – instrumental and voice – for for-credit and non-credit students. Academic offerings include a Music Enrichment Certificate, a Sacred Music Certificate and an Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in music as a concentration.

Dr. Gerald J. Case-Blanchard, director of Vocal Arts and Music Area coordinator at KCC, said there is something for everyone at KCC who wishes to explore their own creativity.

“KCC offers value and opportunity through its numerous course and ensemble offerings, and the College’s Music Area is a hub for creativity and self-exploration,” Case-Blanchard said. “The choirs and the bands welcome all who have a passion to learn and express themselves through the musical arts, and our music faculty are well-established musical professionals who love to teach just as much as they love to perform.”

“Sing in a choir, take a music lesson, play an instrument, develop your talent as a soloist, play in a band,” Case-Blanchard said. “There is something here for every level of musicianship.”
